On August 13th enjoy the jazz sounds of Allan Vache, an international performer and recording artist. Allan toured with the Jim Cullum Jazz Band, appeared on Austin City Limits in addition to NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor. He has presently recorded twelve CDs and appears at many concerts and festivals around the world. For this event, he is accompanied by New Impressions along with Mike Francis on keys.

Kactus Jazz performs traditional jazz tunes with a fresh new twist, appearing throughout El Paso in local clubs, on television and at special events. This new exciting combo performs a variety of jazz styles from swing to Latin to contemporary. Songs in their repertoire range from “Night and Day,” to an upbeat “Girl from Ipanema,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with a samba rhythm.

These monies help support the 20-piece all-city high school jazz band. JazzElPaso Connection's mission is to preserve jazz for generations with emphasis on music education for our community's youth.
